RTS radio technology
A good garage door drive unit must have a built-in remote control transmitter that quickly communicates with the radio receiver. Using automated products from Somfy, a world leader in automation and intelligent home control solutions, gives us the confidence that we are equipping our customers with the best solutions of their kind on the market. Wireless radio technology requires no wiring and makes installation easy without interfering with wall structures. It is the perfect solution for new construction, as well as for light modernisation of existing garages.
We give our customers the choice of using one of two wireless radio technologies in sectional and Up and Over doors: RTS and intelligent system io.
Somfy RTS technology
RST technology is now a standard in modern construction, not only in the automation of garage doors, but also entrance gates and window coverings. Its advantage is unlimited number of configurations of many parameters. The selected frequency is free of interference and protected against waves from other transmitters. With a single remote control, you can operate your garage door quickly and efficiently, even from great distances.
The Somfy brand offers several drive units of the latest generation in RTS technology. For sectional and Up and Over doors they are METRO RTS and MOTO RTS drive unit, and for roller garage doors they are the Somfy Rollixo RTS set with Somfy RDO CSI drive unit.
METRO RTS DRIVE UNIT
Metro RTS is applied in sectional and Up and Over garage doors. The set includes a drive head, running rail with chain and two four-channel remote control transmitters, the so-called RTS pulsars, i.e. remote controls.

Somfy Rollixo RTS is a receiver that is recommended to be installed together with the Somfy RDO CSI drive unit and with a bottom safety edge and safety braking system to prevent the curtain from falling. Somfy RDO CSI is a classic tubular drive with manual emergency control and manually adjustable end positions.
