Door insect screens

The door insect screen is a product that allows you to protect door openings in houses and flats from annoying insects. Importantly, it does not impede the use of the door and is fully comfortable, safe and aesthetically pleasing.

Door insect screen

The door insect screen, also referred to as a balcony insect screen, is an effective barrier mounted on the entrance, patio or balcony doors. It can also be used for smaller entrances to the patio or garden. Door insect screens are mounted with hinges to the building facade or door frame. Door insect screens can also be fitted with magnets and a brush seal, which effectively protect the room against uncontrolled entry of insects and impurities from the outside. The comfort of using insect screens is increased by the opening handle and the self-closing device, which automatically closes the open insect screen.

Insect screen door - high quality materials

When choosing an insect screen, it is advisable to choose one that meets your expectations both in terms of quality and aesthetics. An excellent insect screen should be precisely manufactured, with materials of the highest quality. Only such a product will give you  peace of mind on warm summer evenings.

Door insect screens offered by Aikon Distribution are made of selected materials. The frame of the insect screen is made of extruded aluminium, which makes it resistant to bending, damage and provides a stable structure when mounting the product. The inner corner of the insect screen is also made of aluminium, while the insect screen is made of glass fibre. As a result, the insect screen is dent- and break-proof and, most importantly, effectively protects against insects and dirt.

Door insect screen - use and maintenance

Over time, due to contact with dust, pollen and other dirt, insect screens inevitably get dirty. This is not a problem as they are easy to remove and wash.

To prolong the life of your door insect screen, take it down and maintain it after every season!

It is important not to clean the insect screen with detergents, as these can damage its structure. It is best to wash the door insect screen in the shower or bath, possibly with a soft cloth - but very gently. Use lukewarm water for cleaning. Pure water alone may not be able to clean tough dirt, so you can add a little soap. Leave the freshly cleaned insect screen to dry. Install the dried insect screen in the doorway.

It is important to note that the insect screen is exposed to the heaviest soiling in winter, so it is advisable to take it off during this period. It will be less damaged and will therefore last much longer.

Customised door insect screen

The door insect screens offered by Aikon Distribution are made to measure and to customer specifications. The solutions we offer to protect against mosquitoes and other insects are compatible with roller shutters and other products. Thanks to the possibility to choose the colour of the frame from the RAL palette, the appearance of the product can be adapted to the façade, covers or personal preferences. This ensures that the insect screen will blend in with the other elements without losing functionality.

So if you are interested in a solution that aims to protect you from mosquitoes, flies and other insects, as well as pollen and dirt from outside - our insect screens are the right choice for you. See for yourself and contact our salesman to get an initial quote.
